May 5, 2024Join me for a Cinco de Mayo celebration at Longboard Tacos. Enjoy the beautiful beach decor, music, a great vibe, food and drink specials. Enjoy dining inside, or on the enclosed patio, or on the outdoor patio. I will be there broadcasting from 10AM-Noon, but the celebration will go all day. I'll even bring my real, live Mexican street dog, Bailey, to join me. Specials are $3 tacos, lots of different ones to choose from, $3 drafts, $4 margaritas. Specials run from opening until 6PM. We did a Meal Deal there a few months ago. Place was packed, people loved it. THIS PLACE IS FUN! Fiesta Grande! Hope to see you.

May 11, 2024Tom and Elisa Bruno of Papa's Italian want you to know that they have a place on Austin Bluffs near Doherty High School. It's a small food court in a new building that's a little hard to find, but when you do, the food and deals will be worth it. So, we looked at the calendar and decided to squeeze in an event there and feature large, one topping pizzas for only $7.99 each (regular price $18). They'll also feature their garlic knots for $5 (regular price $8.50) and wings for only $1 each. Get as many of any, or all, of the specials, dine in or take out. Also, there is a Nature's Start Bread Company that has delicious breads, and an ice cream concessionaire called Dazed Creations which makes all their own ice cream and freeze dried candy.

May 12, 2024Mothers Day, one of the busiest, if not the busiest, day of the dining out year, is rapidly approaching. Please, please, PLEASE don't disappoint the woman who gave you life. The Viewhouse does a fabulous brunch at the Centennial and Colorado Springs locations. All eight Black-eyed Peas do a great special menu. A couple of places you may not be thinking about: Cansano Italian Steakhouse at Interquest and Voyager will be doing a buffet, and for those of you who may want to go a bit more casual, their sister restaurant, Longboard Tacos, will be doing a buffet. If you would like to go ethnic, India's on East Hampden has a special buffet.
A couple of other suggestions: Trestles Coastal Cuisine in Castle Rock North and Courtyard Social on downtown Castle Rock both have expanded menus with some great specials.
NOTE: Reservations, if available, offered, are a good idea. Book early for the best times.

No sitting around, who brought the coffee, who brought the cookies? We have a private room, enjoy lunch off the menu, and talk about books, or whatever we feel like talking about, have a guest author. This meeting's guest speaker is JANET EVANOVICH, author of the fabulously famous Stephanie Plum series. Thirty published, over 90 million sold. No dues, membership, fees, just a good time. May 18, 2024Since 2012, ladies in Sedalia have been growing plants, flowers, perennials to sell annually to raise money for the historic museum and firehouse. Over 50 varieties of tomatoes plus peppers, beans, peas, and pumpkins, all selected for hardiness in the high altitude. Funds generated from this all volunteer effort provide over 80% of the funding for the museum. While my broadcasting schedule does not permit me to attend, I have helped them promote this event for years. They are some of the nicest, sweetest ladies you can imagine, and are doing a wonderful service to help preserve the history of the area. Go, have fun, buy a plant.

May 18, 2024The tradition continues! Every late Spring, early Summer we do a Meal Deal with the folks at the Garden of the Gods Trading Post. Come visit the park, hike, bike, shop at the Trading Post and enjoy TWO buffalo burgers, fresh patties, with either hand cut fries or homemade potato chips for only $10 ($5 each - regular price $14 EACH, a $28 value). Dine in or take out. Starbucks Coffee will be offered for only $1, and Colorado Creamery ice cream will be featured for only $1 a scoop. Choose from 24 flavors. And while supporting Veterans issues. You don't pay for the show. The car entry fees go to support the local American Legion. You can do something nice for yourself while doing something nice for others.
