March 2, 2024Looking forward to hosting a Lunch Bunch at Broken Bones BBQ. Yes, they have a store in Monument, but we will be at the store on Voyager. A first time event with them. I'll broadcast from 10AM-1PM, and from 10:30AM-1:30PM, dine in or take out, we are offering some great specials on full and half racks of ribs, and bowls. The full rack, regularly priced at $26.95, will be only $15. The half rack, regularly priced at $14.25, will be only $8. They have also created a unique menu of bowls. They are regularly priced at $12 each, but will be only $7. I have tried them, and I think you will like them, too. Locally owned and operated.

March 9, 2024Well, it's not really a beach party, but Longboard Tacos has a great beach atmosphere, palm trees, a summer feel, and music that we all grew up with. Longboard is part of 4 North, the four restaurant complex created by long time Springs restaurant owner, Chuck Schaefer (owner of Prime 25). I'll be there broadcasting from 10AM-1PM. Chuck and I have worked out the specials, and they are varied and....unbelievable. Any taco (hey, it is called Longboard Tacos), the pastor, carnitas, carne asada, Baja fish, avocado, chicken tinga,more, are all only $3 each. Or go for a meal of Kalua pork with rice and mac salad for only $10. Finally, the Baja burger is only $10. Dine in or take out. This place not only has great food, but a great decor and feel. Hope you can join us. We will be introducing you to the other concepts in 4North as well.
NOTE: Owner Chuck Schaefer is an old island boy, so he will be donating a portion of every dollar, every sale to the Maui Relief and Rebuilding Fund. So, come, enjoy. Great meals, great deals, and you will be doing something nice for our friends in Hawaii.

March 16, 2024John Kiely, owner of Johnny's New York Pizza on Wadsworth, has rented the space next door and added Philly Cheese steaks. Great guy, always does a great job with the food. Join me for Philly Cheese steak sandwiches, only $5 each. Dine in or take out and get as many as you like at that price. I will be there broadcasting. These are the original cheese steaks, just like the ones you get in downtown Philadelphia. See you there.

March 23, 2024We had so much fun, made so many people happy, we're doing it again....at Papa's Italian & Pizza in North Colorado Springs. The large one topping pizza, an $18 value, will be only $6.99 each. Add additional toppings for only $1 each. The garlic knots, delicious, regularly priced at $8.50, will be only $4, and wings will be a dollar each (big, juicy wings). Dine in, take out, get as many of any, or all, as you want. You can phone in your order and owners Tom and Elsa Bruno, and their staff, will have everything ready for you to pick up. If you decide to hang around, they have all the Pepsi beverages and they also have a beer and wine license. Yes, I will be there broadcasting from 10AM-1PM.

March 24, 2024Occasionally I host a small get together at my home, but I can't ever invite as many people as I'd like. So, when Steve Shaw, owner of the Black-eyed Pea Restaurants, and I were talking about this, we decided to throw me a breakfast birthday party and invite ALL of the wonderful people who listen to the shows, travel with me on group trips, and just anybody who feels like having a great breakfast at a great price. An all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast, bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, more, for only $7.10........
.....BUT, hours are a little different: 9-11AM. Dine in only. Yes, I will be there greeting, seating and then broadcasting from 10AM-Noon.
AND, yes, it is my birthday, but NO PRESENTS, NO gag gifts, NO cards, nothing. Just come and enjoy.

March 27, 2024These Book Club meetings are really turning out to be social, informative, FUN. Private room, wonderful Viewhouse lunch. We also distribute books. You'll probably go home with one or two, maybe three, free books. We meet at 1PM and are generally done by 2:30PM. Often we have authors visit, either virtually or in person. The book we will be discussing this meeting is Horse by Geraldine Brooks. Available at library, Amazon, most book stores. March 31, 2024Easter comes early this year, may sneak up on you. A few places that are doing, and always do, a nice job include the Viewhouse Centennial and Colorado Springs. They serve a wonderful, extensive brunch. Black-eyed Pea always does a nice job with a special menu. Both Cansano Italian Steak House and Longboard Tacos at Interquest and Voyager are serving on Easter. Cansano off a menu, and Longboard will have a buffet. There's plenty of other places out there if you just look around. But I suggest you start making your plan early. It's always a busy day.
