Since 2012, ladies in Sedalia have been growing plants, flowers, perennials to sell annually to raise money for the historic museum and firehouse. Over 50 varieties of tomatoes plus peppers, beans, peas, and pumpkins, all selected for hardiness in the high altitude. Funds generated from this all volunteer effort provide over 80% of the funding for the museum.  While my broadcasting schedule does not permit me to attend, I have helped them promote this event for years.  They are some of the nicest, sweetest ladies you can imagine, and are doing a wonderful service to help preserve the history of the area.  Go, have fun, buy a plant.

The tradition continues!  Every late Spring, early Summer we do a Meal Deal with the folks at the Garden of the Gods Trading Post.  Come visit the park, hike, bike, shop at the Trading Post and enjoy TWO buffalo burgers, fresh patties, with either hand cut fries or homemade potato chips for only $10 ($5 each - regular price $14 EACH, a $28 value).  Dine in or take out.  Starbucks Coffee will be offered for only $1, and Colorado Creamery ice cream will be featured for only $1 a scoop.  Choose from 24 flavors.  I will be there broadcasting from 10AM-1PM.  Hope to see you.
