As soon as I get done with my morning broadcast and Meal Deal from the Garden of the Gods Trading Post in Manitou Springs, I will be heading to downtown Castle Rock to enjoy the people, music, the wonderful restaurants while I wait for the lighting of the Christmas star on"the Rock." For some restaurants to visit, may I suggest the Courtyard Social on Perry Street across from the fire station, or Granelli's for a terrific pizza. Maybe visit The Office Kitchen & Bar on 3rd Street. There are plenty of others, but remember this tip: the restaurants all empty out for the star lighting and fireworks that follow. Then they are PACKED with everybody wanting to eat at the same time. Always a fun evening. Great fireworks show.
